We’ve partnered with State Rep. Diane Blair-Sherlock’s office for a #LovePurse Donation Drive for Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October. The #LovePurse movement collects new purses that are filled with personal care items, toiletries, menstrual products, and notes of encouragement to distribute to women in need and survivors of domestic violence.
Members of the community are asked to purchase a purse, fill it with the requested products, and place into the collection bin at Glenside Library.
All of the purses collected through this drive will go to individuals impacted by domestic violence, including supporting the only domestic violence shelter in DuPage, Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services.
