Explore More Illinois, RAILS’ online cultural and recreational pass program for Illinois libraries, welcomes its newest attraction, Des Plaines History Center in Des Plaines!

The Des Plaines History Center collects, preserves, and interprets the history of Des Plaines and its people. Toward that end it conducts tours in a historic Queen Anne Revival house, outfitted with period furnishings, and it runs a museum housed in the adjacent Visitor Center. It also offers a variety of educational programs on-site and remotely.

Des Plaines History Center is offering Half Off New Household Membership.  Explore More Illinois users can access and reserve passes from any of our attractions on their participating library’s website.
