Join the Teen Advisory Board!
Get volunteer hours through monthly meetings, reviewing new (and upcoming) books, and/or helping out with library programs.
The Teen Advisory Board will play a huge role in helping your library offer a space, programs, and materials that appeal to you and your friends! This group, made up exclusively of 7th-12th graders, meets once a month to brainstorm and work on library related projects. Members will also be given the opportunity to volunteer for a variety of library events. Joining the Teen Advisory Board is a great way to gain volunteer hours and leadership skills, and to make an impact on your community.
The Teen Advisory Board is a great way to get service hours, contribute to your community, and get some experience in a semi-professional setting. You’ll get to flex your creative muscles, and practice communication skills, as well as meet some other really cool teens. Many past volunteers have received recommendation letters for things such as the National Honor Society, or jobs.
