Computer Services

The Glenside Public Library District provides computers and internet access throughout the library. There are two areas in which the public can register for a computer. These are at the Youth Services desk and Adult Services desk. Reservations through these two locations are required to use computers.

Instructions for Printing from Computers

  • When printing, carefully choose either the complete document, specific pages, or certain highlighted text. Before documents are printed, a screen will display the number of pages to be printed and the total cost for those pages. Clicking on the "OK" button will forward the print job to the Print Release Station. The opportunity to release a print job from the Print Release Station will be available for 2 hours. Print jobs do not need to be printed immediately, especially if there are additional print jobs to be done.
  • Print jobs will be identified by computer name (T1, W4, Express2, etc.). The name of the computer is clearly indicated on the monitor.
  • When you proceed to the print station, you will select your print job(s) by computer name. There is an additional opportunity to "OK" the printing and you may select to print only certain jobs. Jobs may not be deleted, however, if you choose not to print a specific job number, those left for longer than 2 hours will be deleted automatically.
