What to read

Although HBO has named it's entire series Game of Thrones, that is actually the name of the first book in George R.R. Martin's acclaimed series A Song of Ice and Fire. The books in order are:

  1. A Game of Thrones
  2. A Clash of Kings
  3. A Storm of Swords
  4. A Feast for Crows
  5. A Dance with Dragons
  6. The Winds of Winter (not yet published)
  7. A Dream of Spring (not yet published)

The library has the books in print and downloadable formats (see here).

And finally, if you want to concoct your own Game of Thrones drinking game, may we suggest:

Ommegang Brewery's latest offering in their Game of Thrones tie-in series: Fire and Blood Red Ale celebrates the dragon's daughter, Daenerys Targaryen, and her three dragons, Drogon, Rhaegal, and Viserion. Unfortunately, Fire and Blood is not available at the library. You'll have to check your local retailer.
