John Grisham is best known for writing fast-paced and thrilling novels about underdog lawyers who fight injustice ... and win. You will find lots of details about the legal system in these suspenseful novels with much of the action focusing on the investigation rather than the courtroom drama. When Grisham tells his stories of legal and political corruption, he uses almost no sex and violence. He also writes non-legal novels that often focus on coming of age issues.
If you enjoy Grisham's legal page-turners, try novels by Steve Martini, Lisa Scottoline, David Baldacci, and Stuart Woods.
