Long Lost Manuscripts

These novels about long lost manuscripts have something for everyone:  a little history, a little mystery, and lots of thrilling action.

If you enjoyed the TV program Walker, Texas Ranger then you may like...

A Mexican girl on the run from human traffickers brings fifth-generation Texas Ranger Caitlin Strong to the sleepy border town where her legendary grandfather once worked, a region that hides a deadly weapon with a potential to give a new enemy the means to terrorize the United States.

Anna Pigeon takes a job as a park ranger looking for peace in the wilderness-but finds murder instead. The first novel featuring park ranger Anna Pigeon is reissued. When a fellow ranger is killed and his death is ruled a mountain lion attack, Anna's suspicions are raised. It's up to her to save the protected cats from the prejudiced locals--and prove the kill was the work of a species far less rare.
On a quiet afternoon in the park, four-year-old Joey plays in the sandbox, when a stranger approaches looking for his puppy. While Joey’s mom, Crystal, talks on her cell phone, the stranger convinces the child to help search. By the time Crystal turns around, her son has disappeared. Yet her reaction is odd, not what one would expect from a distraught mother. Is Crystal somehow involved in her son’s abduction? Meanwhile, on a ranch outside Houston, Texas Ranger Sarah Armstrong assesses a symbol left on the hide of a slaughtered longhorn, a figure that dates back to a forgotten era of sugarcane plantations and slavery. Soon other prize winning bulls are butchered on the outskirts of the city, each bearing a similar drawing. The investigations converge at the same time a catastrophic hurricane looms in the Gulf. Finally, as dangerous winds and torrential rains pummel the city, Sarah is forced to risk her life to save Joey.
After putting 16-year-old Christabel Gaines's abusive father in prison, Texas Ranger Judd Dunn marries her in name only to save their shared ranch from bankruptcy. Now, years later, their platonic marriage has given way to passionate yearnings that neither can handle. But danger is near and their feelings may be too little, too late.

Two decades after her father shot down the cult-like leader of a separatist church, fifth-generation Texas Ranger Caitlin Strong is challenged to stop the man's son, the head of a militia movement who has amassed enough guns and money to wage a second civil war.
From dusk till dawn: The notorious Gekko Brothers, Seth and Richard, are on the run and headed for Mexico to meet with the mysterious "Carlos." Their simple bank robbery ended up killing multiple Texas Rangers. They hijack the mobile home of Minister Jacob Fuller and his family to ensure their safe passage. Their appointed destination is a neon-covered topless bar catering to bikers and truckers who've wandered off the beaten path. Everything seems fine until the bar's staff, band, and patrons turn out to be vampires!
Full-tilt boogie: A full-length "making of" documentary that was theatrically released. Unlike most such docs, name actors are interviewed, but are only rarely the focus of the film. This film is about the assistant directors, the personal assistants, the grips, the people from craft services, the drivers--indeed, the vast unseen bulk of the iceberg that supports the average film production.
